hey,
i decided to upgrade my (very) old leedroid rom to a current one today.
i booted into recovery, did a backup, wipe and then flashed leedroid's rom. on booting the phone into the new rom, ive now got no signal, and dont really know where to go from here, any ideas?

dont really want to revert to the backup unless absolutely necessary.

thanks,
sandeep

Most likely it is because your new ROM requires a new radio. Have you tried flashing the recommended radio for your ROM?

No problem, just flash this in recovery - http://leedroid.ftp.rshost.eu/DHD-Roms/LeeDrOiD-HD-V5.1.0-V5.1.1-PATCH.zip (no wipe needed, backup just in case)

This is a problem for everyone on 5.1.0, and the patch above will give you signal again. Happened with me too :)

its been a while since i played with my phone, just had a check of my leedroid version and its 3.3.3. what could i expect to gain from upgrading to newer version? i spose im quite happy with it as it is, but .......... its what i rooted it for after all :-D

It now uses the latest version of Sense (3.0) and he's his own inbuilt tweak app.

If you're looking for Sense based, you're probably better off going with ARHD.

better for what reason mate? im happy with the rom ive got, but spose just a bit curious as to how i can improve it, but not sure what exactly i want to improve! :-D
battery life i spose if anything. would it help me there?

thanks

Don't use Sense ROM's myself, but there's nothing stopping you taking a full backup of your system as it is now and installing the latest LeeDroid to see what it's like... if you're not bothered by it, you can always go back to your backup :)

tis true mate, thanks, and i may do that for a play. just curious to know if this ARHD had anything that made it stand out a bit.

thanks

ARHD uses Sense 3.0 (as does the latest version of LeeDroid as well), and the dev Mike is a total legend. He's got tonnes of ROMs for loads of devices and really knows what he's doing. He's very supportive to and will do his best to answer any questions in his thread over at XDA.

The ROM itself is just a heavily tweaked version of the stock software, but it gets updated and bugs are fixed much quicker than they are from HTC.

ive tried asking something on there before and not bee allowed cos im not a developer. is there a separate section for 'non developers'?

thanks

They do seem sometimes to be a little hard on people who have not many posts or who aren't devs, but you should be ok to post in a ROM thread, as that's where to go if you have issues with a ROM!

I think it used to be 10, but I saw someone moaning on there that someone with less than 10 posts was posting in the dev section, so you could be right!
