Help no signal?

hey i just got this phone off of craigslist (dont do that lol) the other day and i finally got it to activate but now i have no signal..i get signal when im out of my house but when im anywhere near my house i get no signal. my whole family has boost and both my father and sister have signal and i have nothing now i got it off of craigslist could he of screwed up the prl? my prl code is 61007 which i believe is stock. should i call boost and maybe they can help me with it? thanks

also the date and time settings are all screwed up..saying its 10pm when its 6pm and i cant change it any ideas?

Did you try updating your prl and profile?
 
yes i tryed everything just got off the phone with boost and they said they think its the phone i bought it used so the dude probably broke it and sold it and i was the sucker lol i should have bought it new

Id say return it you can buy it new for like 130-170
 
Does anyone know the difference between the white bars and green bars on the phone?? Exactly why do the colors change??

don't quote me on this but it sounds like Sprint is working on their cell towers in your area. I live in the Chicagoland area and for the last couple weeks EVERY time I would go to work the time on my phone would change by an hour and it would tell me I was in New York or something. Same thing with signal, I would get dropped calls and all sorts of stuff ALL the time. If your family has iDen and you have a CDMA phone that might explain why they're getting signal. I would go into your local Best Buy and ask if anyone else has been complaining of problems with Boost's services or if they know if Sprint is working on their cell towers in the area, before you go and exchange the phone or anything.
 
sorry thanks for the replys i ended up going to radioshack and i talked to boost both of them said all there towers are up and running i decided to try to ship it to zte but my buddy just got one and didnt want it so i ended up taking that one for a cheap price the new one is working like a charm couple bugs but i hear thats common with this phone LOL
