Help No sim servise and no one seems to help!!!

I have a samsung galaxy note ll which i got on contract from 3 network. Worked perfect 23 month and last month of contract the phone lost net connection and week after network connection. Tried factory setting couple of times and another sim card with no success. Sent to 2 repair centres and even their technicians could not correct the issue. It works only as a wifi device but not as a phone.
Please all you tech savy brains I need help and this is a last attempt to try get some info before giving up completely and selling for parts and repairs.

This sounds very much like a hardware failure, either the SIM interface or the baseband chipset.

The issue appeared whilst Samsung's 2-year warranty was still in effect, so should have been dealt with under that. It might be worth contacting Samsung UK directly, enclosing any relevant documentation such as proof-of-purchase, repair notes etc, to see if they will honour it retrospectively.

Thank you for your time and suggestions. Unfortunately I have cracked the screen year ago and that according to samsung voids my warranty. I have already spent half of second hand galaxy note ll value to fix this problem as repair centres were charging me hours they spent trying so I think this is the end of phone.
