Help No sound at all on my Galaxy S3

Hi Evryone,
My phone was working great until yesyerday when suddenly the sound stopped working
There is no sound at all, the volume is up, I cleaned the cache via recovery mode and nothing.
The weir thing is that if I connected the earphones, the sound works but if I take it out it doesn't.
Is anyone can help me? I will appreciate it =)

If you hear the sound when you plug in your headphones, then your sound is working but your speaker is not. Could your headphone receptacle be damaged and not detecting that the headphones have been unplugged? If your phone thinks that your headphones are plugged in, but they are not, then you won't hear any sound.

Maybe a factory reset will help, but you will loose your data unless you back-up your phone.

Or your outboard speaker is damaged (water etc)
But my bet is on the above solution. Maybe need a new headphone module fitted
