Help no sound on text messaging

I have the notification sound on and the volume is on high for the text messaging. The phone will vibrate when I receive a text however no sound will play. Can someone help me out please?
 
Those are the settings from within the texting application?
Check the Sound & Display settings on the home menu as well.

When you are in the change notification screen for texts, press the volume up button to turn up the volume. I just figured it out accidentally
 
What I figured out when mine did the same thing was to not go into the settings app. Instead open Messages and then open the menu and then select Settings. Then from settings, click on " select ringtone" to make sure there is one associated with it. Then it should work!
