Help No sound. Please Help?

Something really weird just happened.

my phone all of a sudden is not playing back any music.

the phone rings and the speaker works but it will not play Pandora, will not play mp3 files stored in the SD card, it will not play voice mail and it will not play stored ring tones?


Any way to troubleshoot or should i jut get a new phone?
even with the insurance they want $100 ... thieves ... .first they don't release 2.2 and now this

(considering closing contract with sprint. Just heard metroPCS its coming out with some Kiocera Droids)

I would reflash stock 2.1 and see if the problem persists. (backup the data folder in recovery before hand so you can restore afterwards) If it doesn't fix it take it to sprint and tell them they need to replace it assuming you are still within your warranty period. Beyond that you will be looking at an insurance claim.

Before you flash it, have you tried a soft reset (pull battery and replace) or if that fails a hard reset (menu > settings > privacy > factory data reset) first?

Thanks i will try factory reset. Will i loose Apps SD card DatA?

also i cant flash because my USB port its dead. iv been charging my batteries with an external charger that i got off ebay.

A hard reset shouldn't do anything to your sd card. It will wipe the phone. BTW, it's possible that your audio problem could be related to your usb problem. Before you use insurance, keep in mind that every Moment bought legitimately is still under warranty.

Just realized something today.

the only things that have sound in my phone right now are the default rings that came built in and my Snesdroid (Super Nintendo emulator)

how do i call samsung?
