Help No sound whatsoever

My gs3 had headphone jack issues where if I didn't have the aux cord plugged in just right it wouldn't play out of all the speakers so I tried compressed air but no luck but I bought another headphone jack for the phone and replaced it and when I did I lost all sound. I can't hear calls nor can they hear me. No music no speaker phone no nothing. Anything that has to do with sound, input or output doesn't work. I took the custom software off my phone and factory reset it multiple times with no luck. I cannot figure out the problem. Any ideas?

Do you mean you replaced the headphone socket on the actual phone?

That part.... I don't think it was a faulty install bc its pretty hard to mess up...the speaker snaps in and that's it so I don't see that being the problem...I also rechecked it and its firmly in there.
