Help no text messaging

Newbie
I cant send/recieve text messages. Any ideas?
I took the phone to sprint and they couldnt figure it out. They suggested factory resetting, which I did. BTNA.

Are you receiving any data? (email, internet)
Are you able to make phone calls?

If yes to both, sounds like you have a lemon. If one or the other work, perhaps we can help, but I'd certainly get back to Sprint.

Is the phone stock? (i.e. not rooted, no custom roms)

Did it work before? (i.e. this isn't a "new" phone in which it never worked)

IF it is and you did a factory reset which didn't fix it.

I'd try calling sprint support, a lot of times, you can get to more skilled people. (note: you may need to push to have your issue escalated, the first person you get probably won't know more then a store guy)

The phone is stock.
It worked sproradically when I first got it activated. I recieved a couple texts.
 
All messages were deleted during the factory reset.
Im trying an app called PoWow, I sent two test txt and havent recieved an answer yet.

If its stock and sounds like a brand new phone. I wouldn't bother with 3rd party apps.

Call Sprint, either
1. some screwed up your account settings(on the Sprint end, I had this happen with data on VZW once)

2. the phone is bad.
