Help No touch screen

Hi Folks
I cracked my screen, and when I installed a new one it typed some random letters when texting. I was worried I hadn't rejoined a connector right so I sent it to a repair shop. When I got it back the touch screen doesn't work at all (they didn't charge me!lol)
Problem: I can't swipe the screen to unlock the screen saver, so I can't even use the phone or play games. Is there a way to unlock the phone without using the touchscreen? Miss my Play

There is not unfortunately; however have you tried to run a software update in the hopes that it is software related?

Can the phone be updated without unlocking the screen? I can't pull down the notifications, and I can't choose to update from within the phone. Basically its a brick at the moment but the screen auto-rotates.

I tried exchanging it, and they offered me an Xperia P in a months time. But no way is that as cool and in the mean time no phone!
