I received my update a few days ago, but unfortunately that update did not work properly so Verizon sent me a new Droid last night. The phone I got is preloaded with 2.1 so I too am still waiting for the update.
I called VZW today and they told me that the 18th was a rumor. I was told that all droids would be upgraded by "this fall". The Rep said an upgrade went out to a small test group and there have been problems...so we have been let down yet again.
