Help No USB Mass Storage...

Hi there people, so when I plug my S2 into a computer, i've tried a couple, the phone will start charging as normal, however there is no detection of the device at all. I can't find it in Device Manager or anything. I would like to be able to use Mass Storage or even update the ROM that's on it.

I haven't always had this particular phone, i traded a friend for it since it had 4.0.4 on it.

Also the battery life on this thing seems pretty bad, I have two batteries for it and yet it still with LIGHT use will last maybe 7 hours. Anyway to track down what the problem could be? I thought ShoStock was supposed to be pretty kind on the battery.

There are some threads in here about improving battery life. It involves a couple of things: 1) calibrating the batter and 2) shutting down services which constantly feel like they have to update data all the time.

As to your other problem, go to Settings, More Settings and change the options for USB Settings or USB Utilities.

When you plug the phone into the USB port on the PC, make sure that the security screen is turned off. Also, if that doesn't work, check the Samsung web site for the USB utility that you can install on the PC which will allow the phone to be detected.

Yeah, it's got juice defender and automatic task killer running already. As far as the main problem, I've already tried and re tried that basic troubleshooting.
