Root No USB mount after root

I rooted my bionic with no problem but now I have no USB connection to transfer files. Any ideas? I tried to reinstall the motorola drivers but they are not listed in device manager,

What about in Control Panel, under Programs and Features? Also, what OS are you using?

Depending upon what I want to do, I keep having to change my drivers. THe stock Win7 drivers work best for USB file transfer to both sdcards. But for rooting or using ADB, I need to install the official Motorola drivers. Weird, but it works.

I am using win 7 pro. I have uninstalled all motorola prog and drivers but I still only get charge, no USB mount. thanks

How do you do that other than when connecting the phone it asks? I do not get that option. I also tried on three differant computers, one is 32bit windows 7.

Once your phone is connected to the PC, pull down on the notification shade and tap on 'USB connection'. You should have 4 choices.

thats the problem, there is nothing in the notifications when I pull it down. I only have the "charging" listed on the lock screen.

I have uninstalled the "Motorola Mobile Prerelease 5.2.1 drivers and checked with win drivers but nothing.

the notification bar will not move until you unlock the phone.
I have defrosted all apps that were frozen.
I do not wish the flash because I have to return the phone for service...headphone jack bad.
Thanks

So, why not just use Astro or Root Explorer to copy all of the files from the internal sdcard to the external sdcard? You can keep your current sdcard, get a new phone, then you'll be all set.

I need to unroot the phone before I can return it and pete's root will not find the phone until I get the USB working.

Is there a way to unroot without USB?

Are you using the cable supplied with the phone? Also, make sure that USB Debugging is on.

As far as I know that is the only way to unroot, unless you want to use RSD to return to factory state, but if your connection is iffy, I don't know if that will work either.

Fixed...It was a bad cable I guess. I got a new one and installed the drivers and worked like a charm! Thanks for all your help.
