no visual voice mail

so I upgraded to zenexp and now I dont have visual voicemail

I do have a google voice account though, so I downloaded the program.

Am I missing something or can I only use the google visual voice mail with my google #?

I can not seem to figure out how to pick up my voicemail when people call my cell phone.

Zen has a fix posted for the vvm on the first post of his xda thread. But you have to DL aFirewall and black list sms from 9016 or you will get txts everytime you have a vm. I just started using googlevoice today because of all the hype, you could do that also.

You can also call your number to check your vm.

I have and use google voice, and it works when people call my google voice number. If people call my real cell phone number I was unable to get voicemail.

you can setup google voice (on the website) to be the voicemail for any mobile phone.

on the website go to settings (upper right corner) voice settings. add the mobile phone. once added you should see a link to activate voicemail for that phone.

once done google voice should pickup for voice mail

I activated and I receive a txt from sprint voice, but I can not actually listen to the message, and I dont have any messages listed inside of google voice unless I actually call my google voice number.

Wow I feel stupid now. I have used the ZENupdater twice now.

I see three categories

Roms

Themes

Existing

In the roms there is two options

Zen Updater 2.1
INCR update 3 for 0.0.6.2

I have updated both but I still dont see any sprint voice mail options. I am looking for Visual Voice mail in the apps area.

I really like this rom but no visual voice mail is a deal breaker for me.
 
In my zen updater, there is a category for extras, and vvm is in there, at the bottom of the list. I already dl'ded it, and it works fine except for the stupid texts that come after the vm downloads

run the update and you should have the extras option in updater
 
I finally got google voice set up. My first account was one of the invite accounts. So I had my own Google number. The google voice would not work on my phone only the google #

Now I set up a second account with out a google number and the google voice is working well.
