Help No Voicemail Notification After Google Voice Update

Just updated Google voice, with the new feature to view visual voicemails in the missed call log selected I don't get notified via sound, vibrate, or pulse light. All notifications are checked off in the Google voice settings, don't notice any settings for notification in the dialer/phone. All notifications work fine when Voicemail dispay is unchecked in the Google voice settings. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I do like visual voicemail in the missed call log. I have a stock GSM nexus and I don't use lightflow. Thanks.
 
same exact thing here, very weird...maybe someone can shed some light on this?

Maybe we are doing something wrong otherwise I think a lot of Nexus owners would have commented on this somewhere in the app feedback or forums......
 
I think most Gnex owners use lightflow. Guess we need to try it or wait for an update from Google Voice if we want visual vm in our missed call log with notifications.
 
Yea which makes it seem odd to me as well.

I use lightflow but even with its own "voicemail" and "google voice" notifications off I cannot get GV's notifications settings to do anything while I have "missed call logs" selected.

Side note: When I get a voice mail i get the "traditional voicemail logo", wouldnt light flow be able to recognize that since it would fall into their "voicemail" settings? I would think so...but it wont work when I enable "voicemail" notifications in light flow.
 
I'm happy to look into this. I'm the developer of lightflow, but because I'm from the UK i can't install / register Google voice.

Anyone with adb logcat knowledge want to help?
 
Since GV integrates into your phone app now (aka in the call log) you might want to check your GV settings and make sure "Voicemail display" is NOT checked. I have it checked and only get a light blink and an notification icon in status bar. If I uncheck this then I get normal GV notifications with sound. I don't use any app like lightflow. Just a custom aokpM5 rom
 
My mother had a similar issue. She would not get any notifications from Google Voice. Whatever the issue was, it also prevented Lightflow from triggering a notification.

She ended up doing a factory reset and reinstalling everything, which fixed the problem. I would suggest though, that before trying a reset, just uninstall Google voice and reinstall to see if that solves the problem.
 
Has happened to me in the past on multiple occasions. But its no big deal for me to fix. I just relaunch lightflow and the notifications comes back.
 
have google voice installed and using as my visual voicemal app... working well, getting notifications...

I take it that there is no way to get Google Voice voicemail notifications in the notification bar, AND have it display voicemails in the phone call log?

Its odd that Google allows you to check these options in two different areas under the settings, and have them both checked, but NOT allow them to work at the same time.

But this seems to be the case.
