With the phone connected to the PC via usb cable and the phone on the screen with the message, Open Kies -> tools menu -> emergency firmware recovery

that should recover it.

If it doesn't work take it to samsung service center if you are on warranty.
If not in warranty just download the latest firmware to your PC and flash via Odin.

I wished I didnt update it to ICS now...seems as though mine has a sight bug in it...the wifi would sometimes not turn on fully, like a dim lit green instead of full bright green..only happens now and then but its a hassle cus u have to restart the pone for it to fully connect...and also I've noticed the screen aint as vibrant and it was in gingerbread, even though dynamic is selected in the settings
