Root No WiFi Teather

My connect phone is rooted . But I can't USB or WiFi teather . Any answers to this one ? I used Clockworkmod to root phone. For LG-MS840 Connect.

Get wifi tether from here: android-wifi-tether - Wireless Tether for Root Users - Google Project Hosting I have version 3.2-beta2 but the one from the play store might work too. In settings you have to change device profile to LG Optimus S for it to work.

Ok so I'm using the app that was sugested but still can't connect . It tells me that DNS sever is not responding. At one time it showed connected to network globe then flashed off . Then told me t-moble does not allow hotspot. WTf I don't even have T-moble . Help please .

I don't usually tether, but I did set it up after rooting just for the hell of it. I have Open Garden from the Play Store. I had to set the device as an Optimus S too. Then I had to download a user agent plug-in for my laptop's browser (I was tethering to the laptop &I use Firefox on it). After installing the plug-in for Firefox onto the laptop I had to manually enter the user agent from my phone into the plug - in. A quick Google search on my phone led me to a website that gave me the user agent to put in on the laptop. I think that was all I had to do to get it to work, but it's mobile web, not the regular internet.

A good alternative for this is Foxfi. No tweaking, I use it and it just works.

depending on ur location you probably need to use a user agent string. look it up you need an android user agent string

if you use pda net you might be able to get usb teather im using it right now but my phone isn't rooted
