Help No Wifi

Hi I am new to the forum. i just bought a acer iconia a 500 tablet yesterday. Today I set up the wifi so I could acces the android market. I was unable to get wifi. The tablet said it was connected but when I went to a browser or the android market it didn't work. I tried resetting the tablet already and I callled tech support. I have read some of the other threads. Can someone please help!

Thanks for the link. I tried some of the things the people on the post where talking about but none of them seem to work.
