no youtube app although youtubes installed?

so i have youtube installed (even chcked on market and app management) yet i cant find the app? what do i do, btw its nexus s stock gingerbread 2.33

I have the same problem. The application is installed, there are activities for it, it's recognised in the market (although I can't uninstall it), but there is no app for it.

I'm running Launcher Pro, perhaps that has something to do with it?

Here's the Youtube.apk pulled from my phone (Android version 2.3.3). You can try installing it to see if it fixes things.

This is Youtube.apk version 2.1.6, for anyone who is curious.

yep. I second that. Just have to navigate to the apk already on your phone and re-install it. I found that it worked immediately, in that youtube was then available in the list of apps, but the search functionality in youtube did not work till after a reboot.

It didn't work with Astro though, I had to use an app called Explorer
