Not with the stock camera app nope. That is weird!

But I use Camera Zoom FX camera app. It has zoom built in to that app. I can zoom up to 6x.

I dont know why so many people like/want digital zoom. Its just a fake zoom anyway, and the only thing a digital zoom does is crop the image which you can do in the gallery app anyways.

I agree...if the hardware doesn't have a zoom lense then it's best to not bother with any kind of "fake" software feature that acts like a zoom lense. Cropping the image as a way to have "fake" zoom doesn't make it any more effective or better. It may be a bit faster overall than cropping afterwards, but it's nothing like a real zoom lense.
