Noise cancellation

I haven't had a chance to see the presentation and didn't see it mentioned on various blog, but does this phone had hardware or software based noise cancellation?

I don't know... but that is a very good question. The noise cancellation on my DX has been amazing.

Noise cancellation is pretty standard in smartphones now, so I can't imagine the it won't have it. But I suppose we can't know for sure yet.

Gingerbread had built-in software noise cancellation so I wouldn't be too surprised to see that carrying over into ICS.

Well you'd still need the hardware to make it work. Previous versions of Android support 12MP cameras, which I'm sure will be carrying over into ICS, but that doesn't mean the Galaxy Nexus' 5MP camera will be taking 12MP photos.

Still, I can't imagine they'd leave noise cancellation out of the Galaxy Nexus. It's been present in basically every high-end Android since Eclair.

I seen a hands on Youtube (no link) that shown a mic hole in the bottom and one at the top on the back, that would be your noise canceler.

The guy doing the tour even commented "I dunno why there would be another mic here". Heh!

Now I cant find this video, but I think we watched the same one. Yes it will have noise cancellation.
