I honestly can't say if the fix will work as I've never had the problem myself but I will say both of those guides are missing an important step. If you choose to follow them you should first touch a radiator in your house. This will earth you and remove any static electricity from yourself which (highly unlucky but) could fry your phone. Its sort of on the same line as people working on computers wear anti static wrist bands.

Sound advice from Shotty! :)

Can't go frying forum members, willy nilly.

Like Shotty, I've never experienced the echo problem and therefore, cannot comment on it.

From my point of view, being hardware inept, I would take it to the nearest Samsung Service Point and explain to them, politely and in detail, exactly what the problem is and how it can be fixed. Perhaps, take some printouts of the links you posted.

Dear Ironass & Shotty,

Thanks for your replies.

Iraonass,

I read in one of your thread that it is possible to turned off the noise reduction option permanently if SGS2 is rooted . Could you please confirm and also provide procedure of that, I want to try this first before will go to the Service Center :)

Thanks & Best Regards

Rooting your phone will, in theory, void your warranty with Samsung.

Yours may be a hardware problem that needs fixing.

To test if a rooted ROM and mod would solve it, just start a phone call with someone... select Menu > Noise reduction off and then listen to the quality of the sound.

There are several custom ROM's that offer this feature but the one I think you are referring to is CheckROM v6:-
