Help .nomedia no longer working?

Nevermind, it is working fine. It was actually media files from The Sims 3 game that was showing up. Anyone else having issues I would suggest browsing around your SD Card.

Can anyone tell me how this works? have read that you make a folder (don't know if it needs to be a zip folder or just a normal one). But anyway and you put the pics/vids you dont want anyone to see in the folder, and then make a text file named .nomedia and the pics/vids wont show up in the gallery? is that right?

edit; how do i create the text file? using ASTRO file manager. Cant find that option :s
