Help Non Froyo MT3G SUFFERERS!!!!

OK,

I don't think there is another device so plagued with unhappiness in the realm of Android!

The only MT users who are getting any show of some love are the ones who have had to wait over a month for the Froyo update, and when they DID get it it's been riddled with bugs!

I have the 3.5 mm and I don't even know if I will ever get the update before my contract expires! ( 1 more year, blah!)

Ya ya, "root your phone, stop complaining". Are 3.5mm MT users able to root their phone?! Anways, Im no hardcore techie and all that talk about flashing and roms and stuff, waaaaaay over my head.

So tell me.....

am I out of luck until I can get a new phone or what?......

I got an MT3G with the official Froyo update on it. The ROM is FRG83D, which is the same on my Nexus One and the upcoming update for the Motorola Droid.

Its slow. Really. Its not the problem of the OS, or bugs or anything. I think the hardware cannot take it no longer and its one too many upgrades for the MT3G.

Its really fine with the old OS. Or maybe a mod instead. But its unfortunate Moore's Law is occurring in mobile way faster than a phone contract's period. If you like Froyo consider taking to your T-Mobile rep. Something like the Optimus T in exchange if possible.
