Help Non-removable batteries, why?

Aw, that stinks ...

Some highlights that I remember were "plasticized" lithium ion batteries that you could literally cut with scissors without any negative effects (other than the charge loss from the snipped portion); new lithium metal batteries that are safe and have a lot more charge/capacity than the lithium ion ones.

Some private couriers will still accept phones with non-removable batteries, but those are usually twice as much as the regular state postal service(China Post).

Found this out yesterday when I wanted to send my old Oppo R7 Plus to a friend, and that phone is non-removable battery.

Whereas Royal Mail specify that mobile phone batteries must be installed in the device and not packaged separately.

Whether the battery is fixed or removable isn't the issue; either can fail and catch fire. Maybe China Post instruct their staff to attempt a battery removal, whereas over here the tactic would be to drown it with fire-retardant foam from the in-vehicle extinguisher.
