Non-Rocketfish Case Options

I bought the Amzer Grey Silicone Skin Jelly Case for my Motorola Triumph. It arrived the other day. I like the non-slip grip I get with the jelly cases.

Your case looks very promising. I went to BB today to look at cases for the Motorola Triumph, all they had was the Rocketfish case for $20. This Amzer case seems to be very similar to the Rocketfish. Is it a hard rubber? Does it catch onto your pocket when you slip it into your pants? Is it a two piece "snap" type case?

I'm looking for a one-piece hard rubber style case that doesn't catch onto clothing, i.e. sliding in and out of a pocket.

I played with the Rocketfish case for a bit, it was pretty nice, however it was pricey.

There aren't any reviews on Amazon about this case, so if you wouldn't mind shedding some light on it, I'd really appreciate it. I read a review for a Droid X Amzer case, and it didn't receive good reviews. The case covered the light sensor, blocked the mic, and a part of the home button.

The rocket fish case is nice, I purchased it the same day as my phone and have loved it so far. It is a one piece (tight fit) that slips over the phone and provides nice protection. I have been using mine for a few weeks now and haven't really had any issues with it slipping or being "too rubbery". It goes in and out of my pocket just fine and I feel confident having it on the phone. I would recommend it.

This case also does a great job of protecting the screen from dust, I have yet to have any dust under my screen with this case on.

Again guys, yes $20 is "expensive" for a case but you're protecting a $300 phone, would you rather have a $300 paper weight?

I have both cases. The Amzer case is basically one of those cheap cases you can buy at a flea market. It's a two piece case that's painted black. The texture is not bad.

The rocketish case is a flexible one piece case. It's a pretty decent case, not sticky like one of those cheap silicone case.

Having said that, the rocket fish case will not allow you to use your own screen protector. Because it's flexible, it tends to catch the edge of the protector.

Strangely, I kind of like the amzer case more than the rocket fish one...although I'm not exactly sure why.

Hey everyone I just bought a black hard rubber case and a "military" issue screen protector off of amazon (Under 8$ total for both) if you guys would like links to these item I would be happy to provide them I'll post pics and give a rating when they arive.:)

i got a hard case for mine.. but with it on.. just makes it feel bulky.. i like the fact its so slim and feels good in hand, with the case... eh.. just not digging it.

it was only 2 bucks and some change.. so you cant beat that for a bit of protection.

I've dropped my Triumph twice, once on a roadway, and the Rocketfish, kept it from getting any damage. Great investment.

Consider this though. With a snap on case the point and purpose is the same of a single piece case... to protect your 300$ investment so, when you look at the functionality of a two piece (BREAKAWAY) case you do get what you pay for and the idea is to only really protect the phone from on good initial drop as long as it can do that it has done its job correctly (can we all agree on at least this much lol) if you think about it this way. When a person crashes their motorcycle they are supposed to replace their helmet because it will be more likely to fail. As long as my 2$ case protects my 300$ phone once it has effectively done its job in my book. Tomorrow I get my case and screen protectors I

Rocket fish is definitely worth the investment guys. Its one piece and durable. My triumph flew out of my hand today faster than the HP touchpads sold out at bestbuy and crashed to the ground. Triumph nor the rocket fish case have any damage, scrapes or even marks from 5ft. Its worth it.

Hey guys i got to test out my screen protector and case a decent bit yesterday and today and i could not be more pleased please take a look at the pics and decide for your self but i enjoy the look and feel tremendously it feels to have a ruberised coating on the outside of the case and the hard plastic construction feels to be strong the clips on the case look and feel very sturdy :-) Best 8$ of my life.

I got my eye on that case too but I'm waiting till the 25th i think there are more cases coming out that day. Would still be nice if we get a premium case made for triumph. How sturdy is this case you think it will easily pop open when it get drop?

unfortunately it was only on carpet lol I "accidently" dropped mine from about 4 and a half feet with no issues I figure this is average chest/texting height. would you like a link to the exact case I purchased?

i also bought that 2pc snap on black hard case and used sharpie to blacken the 'white sides'. hmmm, im happy with it!

I went ahead and slurged for the Rocket Fish case over the weekend. I am very happy with it: nice, tight fit and adds very little bulk to the phone. The phone still fits in my leather belt pouch. The case rounds out the Triumph's corners and gives the phone a surer grip. I am much more comfortable carrying my $300 phone around now and I'm very glad I bought the case.

What's the link to case? There's always a bunch of em on Amazon

My concern with silicon cases is that they get dirty really quickly...has anyone found that to be the case with this one?

If you live in or near Raleigh/Durham area in NC Triangle Town Center Mall has some hard and soft cases at Pro wireless for $11.66 including tax.
