Rooting the phone only allows apps that need root access to run, it has nothing to do with slowness, and it won't affect the apps you're running now. All it does is put one missing file, su, in the phone, and it gives you a superuser app to access it with. Some "one click roots" also add busybox, to add back a lot of other commands that you woudn't use in a non-rooted phone. But that's just a file, and it doesn't affect speed.I guess I'll look into root
