Root Noob Alert-Needs help rooting DROID X 2.3.3

I had version 2.2 rooted with z4root, then girlfriend decided to update my phone to 2.3.3, while being nosy..

I know i have to downgrade back to 2.2, then root with z4 root..

Finally, load a pre-rooted version of 2.3.3..

But where do i get all the files and a good instruction video.. because all the ones i found on youtube are pretty shitty.. (no offense)

any help i can get its appreaciated!!!

So the sticky says it won't work for devices that were previously rooted as SuperUser is still on the phone. The question is, how did you get this to work if you were previously rooted?

I was previously rooted as well and really want to root my phone again.

I am currently running Gingerbread - 2.3.3
System version .605

are you currently rooted? unrooted but superuser icon remains?
just reroot with petes tools

I was rooted with Z4Root when I was on Froyo but lost that ability when I went to gingerbread (obviously). I didn't remove the Superuser app prior to upgrading and no longer see the icon in my App list.

cause it killed your root, all you have to do is root using psouza's 1 click root tool located here

you will need a pc and your usb cord to complete this, with usb debugging on
