Hello All,
I stumbled upon Phandroid forums while doing research on the HTC Thunderbolt. I've been checking in every day to see if there is any new information on the TB. What a great community you all have here.

I do not yet own a smart phone...I have been carrying an LG Glimmer for a couple of years and have been telling the better half "...I could be doing (x) if I had a smart phone right now..." for way too long! We were originally Alltel customers, and have remained with VZW.

My knowledge of smart phones is extremely limited at this time, but I am technically inclined (I work in television production/non-linear video editing) so I feel like I will get the hang it in time.

My brother has an original Droid and I was leaning towards the Motorola Bionic, basically because he liked his Motorola. But after reading opinions about Blur vs. Sense, I'm kinda leaning towards the TB. However, all the "bad vibes" surrounding the TB's release has put me off a bit. And now VZW has stated no more unlimited data in the near future. Basically, my head is spinning!

Anyhow, sorry my introduction was so long winded. I'll do my best to be a well behaved noob and I'll search for topics before asking questions. Now about that Thunderbolt...

Welcome to Android Forums! We love your participation. Feel free to chat.

Personally, I don't see how the delayed release date has anything to do with how good or bad the phone is. I have blur on the Droid X, personally, and I miss sense UI. I love Sense UI. I've made up for it with apps and launchers, having rooted my phone, fyi.

Feel free to chat away. You are very welcome, here.

Steven

Thanks, Steven. And your feedback on Sense is pretty much what I've noticed others saying. I know there are supporters of both, but if I were counting I believe Sense would be leading.

Don't get me wrong. I don't support blur. I wiped it out by rooting my phone. ;)

Welcome to the Android Forums!

One of the cool things you'll likely see is that Motorola is moving towards making Blur optional... Woo Hoo!
