Help Noob notification question

[draconius]

Ive installed handcent sms and I don't want dual notifications from handcent and droid. How do I turn off just sms notifications for stock text?

Go into the stock message app go to settings select ringtone and silent.

Go to the stock message app...then message settings and then uncheck the notifications setting box there and the stock app will not notify you.
