Root Noob question

Okay, so I have rooted, and flashed a few 2.2 roms on my Vibrant, finally settling on Axura 2.2. Now I'm ready to make everything faster. I have seen mention of voodoo, and know nothing about it. I have OCLF but it claims I already have a lag fix. I have no idea what the next step is from here. I know this thing is capable of being much faster. Any advice?

Voodoo is pretty simple to implement, stable and effective. The latest version can be found here:

[KERNEL] stock+Voodoo stable 5.x for Vibrant - xda-developers

I've been using Voodoo for months now. I prefer it over anything else I've tried, whether it be other lagfixes or overclocked kernels.

As far as OCLF goes, after you install the EXT2 tools, try restoring the boot animation (you'll see it in the OCLF app) and try again.

Come on back if you have more questions. :)

Yeah, so it would seem OCLF still failed. I'm going to try out voodoo. Just to be safe I am going to wipe everything and re-flash Axura 2.2 just in case I did something that would conflict with this kernel. Wish me luck.

EDIT: now running voodoo after re-flashing Axura 2.2. I would just like to say now after going from stock 2.1 JI6 just 2 days ago to running 2.2 JK6 with lagfix, holy hell the difference is astounding. For anyone running across this thread thinking about rooting and flashing a custom rom, stop thinking and just do it. If you can follow instructions you can do this, and you will not regret it. Thanks to everyone who took the time to post instructions, give advice, and even thanks to those who had bad information who did not give it to me.

Okay... so I have been running this setup for a day, and I am already itching to take another step forward. Is there a 1.2 ghz clock kernel out there that runs with voodoo, and works with JL1?

EDIT: More nOOb questions: Should I be running spare parts on aggressive setting? I am also running OCLF V1+ on top of voodoo, V2+ would not work. Is there something I can do to make V2+ work, or am I crossing in to dangerous waters? If so, I don't mind so much, because as it sits now this thing is more than twice as fast as it was stock (why is it so hard for them to make it like this in the first place?) I'm just getting power hungry now.
