As we're all aware, the S3 takes a micro sim card. What happens to my existing normal sim card? Does this still work if I put it in another phone? Or does this stop working?

Just curious as my S3 is now on charge (still switched off) with my new sim card inside it and I am still using my HTC Desire at the moment with the normal sim card.

Cheers.

Are you using the same number on the micro sim as on the old one? If you aren't then you will have 2 active sim cards. If you are then once the number and data is transferred to the micro sim the old one will become inactive. It will still show on the phone as having a sim inserted but you won't be able to use it for anything.

Yes it's the same number.

I've just activated the micro sim on the T-Mobile website, so I assume the old sim will become inactive and the new one will become active?
