Root noob questions

My phone is rooted and running DJ05 with stupidfast 1.54.

I have some noob questions:

After I flash a zip with CWM can I delete the zip file without harm?

I assume that update.zip cannot be deleted...is that true?

The phone is working good now...I have a bunch of apps installed that I like are are useful to me. I am tempted to install a ROM that wipes out all the VZW crap that I don't use. Will installing a ROM wipe out the apps that I have loaded?

Titanium also has a "Freeze" tool which...um, Freezes the bloatware. I'm running Stupidfast 1.54, but I like a few of the stock apps, so I run a stock ROM and just freeze the others and the bloat.

Didn't want to start a new topic, but does anyone ever freeze an app in TB and itself freezes on the screen that says it's freezing your app? I have to go and kill the app for it to actually work.

it happened to me a few times, i guess there a few quirks but it eventually works. I usually renamed them in root explorer.
