Root Noob to Android Phones

Would it have created one if when I was first looking for the file I was highlighting a diff file and I went to back out but think I hit the back key and it tried to look at another zip. It came up to a red recovery screen but I rebooted and the phone came up ok. Could it have created the recovery file by that?

Terribly sorry...I've got lots of homeowrk over the weekend and I need to finish it.
if I were you I wud not be serouosly worried. Ur not bricked. Try to go to the xda forum and see what others with your problem did. You can always try gtg465x's ultimate unbrick. Sorry to hear this something probably did not go right before the rom install. Idk why its bootlooping. Don't worry you'll be out of the boot loop soon.
 
Ryanscool I got into recovery mode but I did not do a nandroid.

I did do a full backup with Titanium.

I downloaded the gtg ultimate unbrick but am not clear on the process.

Can you assist?

well, I've never tried the ultimate unbrick. So I have no idea how to do it. But I'm sure other people like ryanscool or mr.ed can definetly get u out of this situtation. Good luck. I hope ur not mad at me I tried my best to help out.

Whoa I did not see this post. You got out of bootloop??? Omg nice u shud have gb now...don't worry aboit recovery if ur our of bootloop...ur done. Let me know how it goes. From what I understand yousaid that you rebooted from red cwm and your phone came back alive. If this is true u r set with infused 2.1 if u go to settings ull see 2.3.3 now :)

The only thing I can think of was clicking the wrong file.

If it created a recovery file thats why im looping.

I would think that if I can somehow get to the directory on the phone and see if that exists and delete it I would just come up.

Not sure if that can be done though.

Tell you what. Here's your choices:

1. How long hav u had this phone? If less than a month consider returning it for new one.
2. Ultimate unbrick. Try ur hardest to follow the procedure and when u need help ask here i guess.

That was the hardest part for me too. I went to control panel, then devices, then i selected the phone and installed drivers manually. This depends on the computer...mine is running 64bt win7 so it might be different for you.
 
No im running windows 7 64 bit too.

I have not found the kies but did get AT&T's drivers.

Getting a bit frustrated - its 10pm already and want to get this fixed before I have to go to bed.
 
Well Im posting updates for all you who have helped.

I have re-rooted my phone and setup Titanium and it has found all my apps and is restoring them now.

If all goes well my next post will be a big YAY!

Some cosmetics to complete however Im back to where I was.

I will do the upgrade another time and I believe I know where the issue came from.

I can not believe it was soooo hard finding drivers to be able to run gtg Ultimate Unbrick

Your welcome and good job! Does the unbrick work well? I have not tried it, and I want to see if this rom is blocking my 4g. Anyway hope everything else works out.

I think a recovery file got created when i picked the wrong file and meant to backout but instead tried to run it.

I rebooted and the phone came up but I did not recheck to see if there was a recovery file and proceeded to do the upgrade and thats when things went bad.

The next time that wont happen.
