ok so im new to the forums and everything and i got my Evo Shift around same time it came out and im kinda new to android so i was looking around and ran into something called rooting and started watching videos about it and heard about something called brick where your phone doesnt work whats the chances of this happening and can it be fixed
 
The chances of bricking your phone is very slim when rooting. Now a days, there are one click apps that allows you to root straight from your phone. Z4root is one.
 
thanks im downloading it right now i was looking all night for a one click rooting app
also one more thing whats difference of temp and perm root
