Root Nook boot loop - only when SD is in.

Growat

Lurker
My rooted Nook Color will only boot through to CM7 if the SD card is removed from the device. From Nook Tweaks I have selected "Always Boot from eMMC" but something about having the SD in is sending it into Clockwork Recovery.

I'd appreciate any help.

You have two settings that have to be correct to boot into your rom, emmc and whatever not-recovery is.

That sdcard slot is fragile, don't wear it out.

Thanks guys.

Bobstro-I tried to delete Clocwork Recovery from the SD in an attempt to remove the bootable aspect of the card, but there was no change in the looping.

Colchiro-Could you tell me what those two settings are?

Edit: Sorry, the commma in your sentence confused me. You're saying the two settings are "emmc" and "whatever not-recovery is". Could you help me with the "whatever not-recovery is" and where I might find it?

No I can't. I don't have a Nook Color. :D

When you boot off the sdcard, you can change both of them.

We know the fist one is sdcard or emmc.
The second is something like rom or recovery.
The 3rd option is to boot with those settings.

The top of the page tells you how to change them and probably even describes what the settings do.

Play with it and report back what the options are.

I finally managed to reboot into the elusive boot menu instead of Clockwork Recovery. I thought I'd exhausted all the button combinations but I got in and set my preferences. Thanks for the help.
