Root Nook Color....Wireless Tether??

Finally got my wife's Eris Rooted and Froyo installed. Thank everyone who helped get me over the initial hump. She loves her Eris now.

Can't get new Nook color to see AndroidTether.

Also, Enable WiFi Encryption? or not?

I wonder if the Nook Color supports ad-hoc connectivity (what wireless tether uses). If it isn't seeing it, I'm probably guessing not.

Nook Color cannot connect to ad-hoc networks... unless you root it.

The Nook Classic wifi ereader either i suppose (it's not rooted). Never have been able to tether it with my Eris.

I rroted a nook for a friend. It's a bit tricky. The nook has lots of defects unrelated to root like losing sound. Nookdevs is a good site to bone up. Only a few phones like the x support infrastructure mode using wifi tether.
