Root Nook Tweaks does not work with phiremod 6.3

Hi guys,

I'm running phiremod v6.3 OC'd at 1300MHz and lookin' good!! I really would like to boost the sound of the UI and keyboard clicks with "Nook Tweaks" from the Marketplace but the app says that my kernal is not compatible. Is there something I can do to make it work?

Or... is there some other volume booster that I don't know about?

You need the new kernel, but it should be safe. Use ROM Manager to backup your current ROM, then get the Phiremod v7 TEST and find Dalingrin's 6/13 kernel. The volume boost is fantastic.

Oh, so i need a whole new ROM and a whole new kernal? Isn't the newest one the 6/18 kernal?

Yes, you need the new rom to work with the new kernel (I believe), but there's little to no harm in the upgrade. I'm not sure if the 6/18 kernel works with Phiremod v7 test. You might need one of the CM7 nightlies to work with 6/18. Right now, I'm running nightly....110, I think?...and the 6/18 kernel.

V7 Test does indeed work with the 6/18 kernel. I've been using it for several days and it's working brilliantly.

How do I upgrade from 6.3 without losing all of my mods and apps?

Titanium Backup your apps. Make a nandroid before you flash V7 so you can go back to 6.3 if you have to. You may need to flash V7 twice to get the "n" button working.

What kinds of mods have you done?
