Normal Android sounds on this device?

I just upgraded from the G1 (I couldn't find a reason to upgrade for the longest time because I had it insured and kept getting replacements for free, but I finally made the switch). I'm really picky and I miss the normal Android sounds. Given that they could have changed and I wouldn't know it since the G1 stopped updating at Android 1.6... but still, I am pretty used to them. Anyone know of a way to get the old sounds? I don't like the HTC sound set on the phone or the ones you can get from sense.

I'm out of the loop with any apps because I haven't been able to download updated apps in so long.

I used Zedge, which a free wallpaper and sound app. They usually have stock Android notifications there. My DInc 2 didn't come with the "Drooooooid" sound, so I went there to get it.

Hope this helps!

BTW, how's the Sensation treating you? If I was T-mo, I'd have gone for that. Dual-core with sense? Yes, please!

Thanks! I will look into that app.

As for the Sensation, it's pretty good so far! I've only had it a few hours so we'll see how things progress. It FLIES. It's overwhelming since I just came from the stone ages hahaha.

The only thing I am just not used to yet is the Sense stuff and especially the fact that it got released with a locked bootloader. There are a lot of pre-loaded apps and random things that I would love to get rid of but alas, cannot. Since I am used to stock Android, it sort of irks me to have to look at apps I won't use. I was thinking that I might have been better suited to a stock Android phone, but you know what? I've had one for 3 years. I might as well change it up. I think in the long run I will get used to the differences, although I'm hoping they issue some updates that allow you to customize things a bit more.

But yeah other than that, the phone itself is great. The cameras seem pretty great and streaming video is perfect. Also, I love being able to kill apps without downloading another app to do it (really easily, right out of the pull down notifications bar) but that might from past devices, I don't know.

I know this is off the topic I asked about, but on a side note: I don't know much about Sense at all. I'm discovering it on my phone right now. What do you think are the best things about Sense that might make me like it a bit better? haha

I like the customization, like skins, the different widget sizes for each type, and the integration. What I mean by integration is, for example the sliders at the bottom of HTC apps. In Gallery for example, you can see the photos on board your phone, then use the slider to see Facebook photos from you and every single one of your friends. Same goes for the slider in the messaging app. This helps make it so you're jumping around less since all similar things are in one place, or at least grouped together. This slider REALLY helps in your contacts (People).

Edit: Keep in mind, you have Sense 3.0, I have Sense (2.0.1?), so you're actually better off, lol
