Same here and to be honest I am pretty sceptical of programs I am going to install, so I am not going to install Norton as I know its a hog on rescorces.

Did not like Norton on the computer let alone the mobile unless they have improved over the years

Unless you make a habit of downloading pirated apks and going to janky 3rd party app stores that offer pirated apps, you don't need security software.

I was a beta tester for the Norton Mobile anti-virus software. After using it for a while when it was officially released I went to LOOKOUT instead. It's easier to use and all around cheaper (I think). Hope that helps.

And even if you did, these apps can only scan the files while they are stored on the phone using already known "fingerprints". Android runs apps in a sandbox so none of the virus checkers are able to scan a running application for suspicious behavior .

I'm like casarosa. Won't use Norton's on a computer; definitely wouldn't put it on my phone.
