Root NOS rom a battery killer?

Anyone actually on this forum anymore and if there are anyone using NOS Rom experiencing terrible battery life? I can literally sit and watch the battery drop one by one in the matter of minutes with the phone idle it's fine but with ANY sort of even basic use my batt life is more than pathetic...I have power save feature on as well as my backlight dimmed all the way down and within the course of typing this I watched my batt drop another percent
Any reason for this?

Never had any issues with battery while on that ROM, but I have since moved on to Venom Viper DNA...so many customization options. Still waiting to see how the battery does.
