Help Not able to update

I have a htc one m8 and my carrier is at&t. It is currently in 4.2.2 and I cant find out how to update it. I've looked it up but i dont see the update section is about here is all I see

Welcome to AF FornHorn. Try going into settings>System update>Check new. It should find the update and the fact that you don't have it.

Sorry to make a off topic post to this thread but did the forum make some changes today? All of a sudden I'm getting alerts on tapatalk every time someone posts or starts a new thread in the M8 section.

*edit* for example, I didn't subscribe to this thread but got taptalk alerts when it was created and when a response was made. This is getting very annoying, had to delete Android Forums from taptalk for now......

I can't say dautley. I am no TT user but I had it installed. Today it went crazy with alerts. I removed it.

I could not find system update in settings

You will have to scroll down to the bottom in the setting options page. You should find it between printing and about.
