First off, for the lucky ones that have been able to get their hands on this device from Virgin Mobile, kudos to you!!! :rolleyes: :D

For the rest of the vast majority that are still waiting (like me), I feel your pain!! :(

After coming to the conclusion that I wasn't gonna be able to find it in stores on the launch date, I decided to just go ahead and order it from the VM website yesterday. I even chose the $12 express shipping to get it in 1-2 business days. Well, when I hadn't received a confirmation e-mail and realized that my debit card hadn't been charged yet, I called up VM to check my order status, they told me that my order had been cancelled, due to back orders. It sure would've been nice to have gotten that notification yesterday!!! :mad: They basically told to try and order it again this upcoming week when they may (or may not) get some more in. The website does reflect that they are "Temporarily out of stock", at the moment. :(
 
Or order it from the Shack. The rep I spoke with stated that all preorders have been filled and they are currently accepting orders to ship out mid week because of a shipment coming in on 6/4. Might only get it a few days or less before the official 6/10 retail launch but you do save $20 by ordering online. Paid my taxes and almost half my 2nd day shipping with that coupon code.

Yeah, I just noticed that. Actually, I just went on ahead and did all that just now. I even paid for the 1-2 day shipping to my local RS store. I figure I'll have on Tuesday, at the latest. :)

I wish you luck, but being realistic they do state that orders are usually filled in 1-2 business days which means that they will process your order Monday and hopefully ship it on Tue. or Wed. and then the delivery time. How come you didn't ship it to your house? No one home during the day?

I ordered it from the VM website yesterday (6/1) morning with express shipping. When I checked the order on VM's website on 6/1, it said it would be shipped on 6/2. When I checked the status this morning, it said it would be shipped on 6/4. Now the status is "BackOrder" and no ship date is listed.

The closest RS that had one from my house was about 2 hours away. I'd considered driving down there and getting it but honestly...

Mine is coming Monday and I'm tired chasing it.

Edit. I called that Radio Shack and the website lied! LOL
We've got a warehouse in Ft. Worth yet almost all of Texas doesn't have anything in terms of this phone...
 
FYI, as I posted in another thread, there are many RS stores in the greater Seattle area that now have the phone in stock. The RS store where I picked up my phone indicated the shipment came in express mail late yesterday.

Found mine at Radio Shack near Buffalo NY using the RS site inventory search. Like the others it's Sprint branded. Took 2+ hours for the guy to activate it on the phone with VM. Plus two phone calls from me to VM to cancel the order that I placed on VM's site.

I noticed that RS website has HTC EVO V 4G in stock and SAVE20 coupon also works.

In local stores, we can not save 20 and on top of that we will pay local taxes. Unless you are living in sales tax free state.

Ordering online on RS website and free shipping to local store seems like best option now.

My order was one of the ones that got cancelled on friday so I got free 2 day shipping for the inconvenience. So instead of saving $20 I saved $33.

VM charged my credit card at 7:30am today (6/3), and the order status is now "Pending". Maybe it will get shipped tomorrow (6/4)!

It seems that best option is to call and go. I went to the local store after checking local store stock online.

I will have to strike friendship with local store sales person so that they will reserve one for me.

On Sunday 6/10, hopefully, Walmart, Target, BestBuy will be flooded with fresh VM Branded HTC EVO V.

You don't need to be their friend for them to hold a unit for you...you just have to ask lol
 
Has anyone else tried to order from RS today online, I tried to use the SAVE20 and it will not work :( They have them in stock at the stores though, but 20 dollars off plus 10 for signing up for their new letter was def worth it but now I can't get any of the discounts to work.
 
my local BB store said that they wouldn't have them till the 10th and said that was the release date for the phone ...:confused:
