So I'm liking my bionic so far but I have a problem. I have to manual refresh my email and tweeter to get any updates. Nothing gets pushed for me. I have the latest updates. What are some things I can check out to fix this?

Look in the settings of each of the applications by hitting the left-most key at the bottom of the screen. You probably don't have Notifications set.

Thanks, I just looked everything seems to be turned on. Keep in mind I'm not even getting emails or tweets till I refresh them in the app its self.
How about ...
E-Mail | Settings | Email settings | Email delivery | Fetch schedule
... for the default account.

Ah, I just set it up my gmail with the "email" app. Seems to be working with that but why wont it work with the "gmail" app?

On the bionic there is two default email apps. One only allows one email the other multiple as far as I can tell. Settings are important especially encryption, the app forces you to manually input the settings and u have to.match it tothe server. With that said there are additionAl settings suchas how often the app will fetchnew messages
Because everybody uses e-mail for their e-mail?
Because e-mail syncs and G-mail doesn't?

The Gmail app used to work....
I don't know what that means. They both work. Set the syncing in e-mail and use Gmail to read the imbox contents if that's what you want.
YYou can add more accounts to e-mail and manage all your e-mail accounts in that single App. One of those accounts can be your Gmail avvount (or Gmail accounts).

Right now the email app is updated but the gmail app is still not showing new emails.
Did you soft reset the phone after doing all the changes? It couldn't hurt ...
hold down Voum Up/Volume Down/Power until it powers off and then starts to load.

Just held the buttons, nothing happened. Just rebooted like normal and still the same 
I sent a message to my gmail account ... it was announced within a minute ... the message ia viewable in both the gmail and email apps.
(I never use the Gmail App.)

A-HA! Under account settings there is a setting for data syncing of apps. Looks like that fixed it. Dunno how that got turned off.
