Help Not getting notifications from google voice

I use google voice regularly and for whatever reason on my nexus i'm not getting any notifications from google voice in the notification bar. I have notifications turned on. Set to receive via google voice. Forwarding is correct. I haven't changed anything. It did work and now it doesn't.

The only way I know i'm getting a texted is because it also emails me and I see it in the email.
If I open google voice I still won't see the text until I refresh it. Any ideas?

Maybe nobody wants to talk to you?

Are you setting the notification options in the app or through the website? I thought you had to enable on the website for it to work. If not maybe uninstall and re install? Maybe something got gimped along the way?
 
I rebooted the phone and notifications came back. Everything on the site and the app are setup correctly. Just sometimes I just lose notifications. Works for awhile and then not.

If it's shutting off the background data when battery gets low then maybe. Im almost certain background data has to be enabled. Have you noticed them not coming in when battery is low? Or has it been just random?
