Help Not getting text notification sound now since update

When I turned my phone on this morning, I had to do some update (I'm guessing this is the 2.2?)

Well now, I'm not getting any sound when I have an incoming text. I'll get it maybe once in a GREAT while.

Please help.

Had a similar problem at first. It seems that the update messed up a number of the custom sounds you assigned to contacts or notifications. I went thru and set them up again, still wrong text sound. Then I realized that i needed to go into the text app itself, not just the notification sounds, to customize the setting.
