Not Liking 3.1

[Romparoo]

Updated today with the OTA 3.1.

Pros:

-resizeable widgets
-browser features
-market

Cons:
-extreme lag: no longer smooth scrolling, multitasking, and games are now choppy
-YouTube and Market widgets "disappear", they are still there but invisible. I know they are there because I can not place anything else in it's space

I have done 2 resets and my problems have not improved.

Anyone else noticing these issues?

Maybe you need to do a factory reset and reinstall the OTA?

[Romparoo]

Not too sure. The lag got a little better, but not much. I was able to solve my widet problem, I delted them and then readded, cleared the issue right up!

My biggest beef is the "search from address bar" functionality is gone...

This does need a lot of refinement though, the enhancements are nice but they(ASUS) need to revisit 3.1 to make sure they have it optimized.

Try turning google instant off.

My biggest beef is the "search from address bar" functionality is gone...

Yeah I don't have most of those issues, haven't tested youtube but I can report that the Dish Network DVR software works perfectly and watching live or recorded TV works great!

I can also search with the stock browser from the address bar.

Yea when i scroll i get some flickering....but just got it today and did update so didnt test 3.0

Not sure why but even with the 3.1 ota update, 720p youtube vids in browser are still really choppy and what not. any suggestions? I did a factory reset to no avail.

How do you resize widgets?

[chimphappyhour]

Press and hold the widget like you're going to move it. After that, let go of it and if it is resize-able, a blue frame with pull points will appear around the widget for you to drag. My understanding though is that not all widgets will do this necessarily.
