I have an epic 4g but it's not on sprint, I am on Iusacell, another carrier in another country, it is a sprint phone of course, has the sprint logo and apps all over the place, only it's not..
I also can't use kies, so I dont know if I will be able to get froyo over the air once it officialy comes out, I did get a few updates from sprint, like the recent voice to text or whatever that was, which was useless for me as my carrier doesnt provide that service, also when I got the phone, like 4 or 5 weeks ago, when i first turned it on, it prompted me to do a few upgrades as well.
Does this mean I will be geting froyo this way? I am not sure how sprint handles the upgrading process, is it done via their network? or via the internet? or is it samsung and not sprint who take care of it?
In the worst case scenario that I am not able to upgrade over the air, is there an easy alternative? Like downloading the new rom onto the sd card or something like that?
Thanks!
