Not pressing "End" makes the call go on forever

Just got off the phone with someone who usually hangs up instantly when the conversation is coming to a close. So I did not even press the end button, because they already hung up. About half an hour later I look at my phone and it says I'm still on the phone with them...and the timer is still going!

Why does this happen? When someone hangs up doesn't it usually suppose to disconnect you as well?

First time I've heard this one..

My guess is a fluke, or whoever you were talking to thought they ended the call and didn't.

That's happened to me twice today

Where they on a cell phone? I have noticed on cell phone calls when they hang up it ends the call automatically. When talking on a land line I have to end it myself otherwise, like you said, it will continue going on and on until I do hit end. I have noticed this before the TB though, even before Android devices. IDK if that is your scenario though.

This is a blessign and a curse. Being the only phone aside from the GSM iPhone that can talk and surf at teh same time you must use the end button to end the call. I catch myself staying on voicemail (not a free number (why Verizon why)) when I hit the home button thinking I ended the call.

This happens to me too. Not sure if it has something to do with the proximity sensor, but I can't hang up the phone w/o pressing the unlock button.

It just happened again to me. This is an irritation, although not the end of the world. Also my clock suddenly went from Eastern time in the US to West African time. WTF.
