Help Not Receiving Emails

Hello,

Just purchased the Fascinate, and so far seems like a great phone. One issue I am having and searching around I see others are also having this issue. Issue being that the phone is not retrieving emails (IMAP) from my servers? I have it set to five minutes and I have to manually get them. Does anyone know when there will be an update to fix this issue?

Also one other questions, when updates come out for this phone, are they automatically installed, or do I need to login in somewhere to download?

A few others have reported the same probably when using the "email" app not the sync which can sync but the email one which I assume you also are referring to here. Updates are automatic in the sense you dont have to login per se but you will asked if its ok beforehand then just say say and away you go.

Hmm the url is accurate.
I put others in there and nothing works, weird.
Go to page 2 of the trouble shooting its half way down as of now

It's probably linked to this same issue - I'm sure it'll get fixed in the next update:

Email Sync:
In some cases exchange e-mail and yahoo mail can stop syncing

Yeah the native email client so far is inconsistent. I ended up with Maildroid and besides oya bland UI, it syncs as it should.

Hello,

Spoke to Verizon today and they know of the issue and it is supposed to be corrected in the next software update. I just hope it is corrected in a timely manner as the current email client has a nice interface,

I am still having Hotmail issues, it seems to sync when it wants. I used to be able to manually sync no problem, but that doesn't seem to work anymore. I have restarted the phone, removed the email account and put it back on, changed the sync interval times...everything I could think of.

I hope this gets fixed soon. The only other thing driving me bananas is the TOO SMALL power button and its location. Ugh, something sooo simple and they cant get it right....
