Help Not receiving text

Recently updated to 3g and I noticed my battery was done in 5hrs due to cell standby being like 70%. Had what I thought was brilliant idea to switch from cdma prl to evdo only so my signal would stronger. Worked but about an hour ago I realized I can send but not receive any text. Did I screw up something with evdo only? Everything else on my phone is working fine.

Try using cdma only and test if your texts work fine. Might be data loss through 3G.

I did and only my stock messaging worked. Turns out go sms wasn't working. I uninstalled and then reinstalled and nows both are working.

For future reference...disable stock text when using a third-party app. Do this by entering the stock SMS settings and unchecked everything. Then enable everything through the new SMS app. This will prevent data loss while roaming and also prevent those annoying double-texts.
